| Jewelers' Competition
Thanks for helping us raise over $2300 for Charity. The voting monies will be divided evenly between Blue Ridge Hospice, Loudoun Interfaith Relief, Compassion International, and Western Loudoun Young Life. Each charity is also receiving a check for the Silent Auction price of the piece associated with each chairty. We were very impressed by our jewelers' innovation and talent, and we hope you enjoyed the showcase as well. |
| A Custom Christmas
This year we had a record number of customers repurposing their old jewelry into new lovable, wearable pieces for themselves and others. With gold and diamond prices as high as they are, customers are getting more creative with their gifting. Instead of trading in their old rings, necklaces, bracelets, or pins towards a new item, they are working with Ketterman's jewelers and staff to create new pieces from what they have.
There were simple remounts - a three stone ring became three pendants - and complex, from-scratch designs - working with a casting company to create a ring to hold 18 loose stones of varying sizes and shapes. Each project is an opportunity for us to meet your exact need and desire. We are so excited to help develop and realize these designs for you. There is nothing like the excitement when a custom piece is seen in its completion for the first time, the first time you see your personalized, one-of-a-kind creation.

Garnet, January's Birthstone, comes in every color of the rainbow. The traditional birthstone color ranges from a deep merlot to pomegranate pink.
Garnets color varies with where they are found in the world. Green garnets, called tsavorite, are mostly from Africa. Orange and brown garnets are found in Namibia and Sri Lanka. |
