THANK YOU!
From Your Executive Director
Jan Vance

The Edmonds Chamber of Commerce 2011 Preferred Business Directory has arrived... and we think it looks great! The Journal Media Group did a fantastic job designing the cover, creating ads, and laying out content. We hope you are as happy with it as we are. The directory was sent out to all the Journal Newspaper readership and copies have been made available to the public at our Visitor's Center, as well as at the Chamber Office. If you did not receive a copy, or, if you would like more copies to have on-hand, please contact the Chamber office and we will be happy to get them to you. We'd like to thank the Journal Media Group for producing the directory, and for getting it out to so many households in the Edmonds Community.

As many of you know, on Friday, January 28th, the Chamber held it's Annual Banquet. This year's theme was "Let's Fiesta" and Fiesta we did! The event was held at the beautiful Edmonds Yacht Club and catered by Kafe Neo, who provided us with a wonderful Mexican feast. Guests were greeted by Ray & Jose who serenaded them with beautiful latin music. The evenings emcee, 2011 Chamber President Ron Clyborne, delighted and energized the crowd during the meeting portion of the evening which included a rundown of 2011 goals, a brief financial report, and introduction of the Chamber Foundation Board, and Chamber Staff. As Executive Director, I presented past President Jim Hills with a gift card to a local restaurant and thanked him for his 3 years of service as President. Thanks also went out to our volunteers, and our banquet sponsors which included: The Journal Media Group; Windermere Real Estate North, Inc/Ron & Michelle Clyborne; The Resident Cheese Monger; and Arista Wine Cellars. Carolyn continued with a BIG thank you to our Log Cabin Volunteers who keep our Visitor's Center running. Past Presidents were introduced and thanked for their service. In attendance were: David Arista, Stan Dickison, Jim Hills, Barbara Kindness, and Joan Longstaff. Ron also introduced the 2011 Board of Directors and thanked outgoing Board Members Tung Bui, Dan McIntosh, and Don Ralston. It was a wonderful night of food and fun and we hope everyone in attendance enjoyed the evening.

And, speaking of Board members, another new addition to our Board for 2011 is Tom Tomberg, former City of Edmonds Fire Chief and now with Fire District #1. Tom is already hard at work on a few key committees and we are very excited to have him on board.

In mid-January we unveiled our new Sponsorship package that marries membership with sponsorship opportunities. This new merger provides an exceptional value to our members. The new information was sent out to all members and you can read more about it later in this newsletter. If you have any questions, please contact the Chamber office.

As you can see by the list below, our membership is continuing to grow, and along with that, we are continuing our quest to provide the best services and opportunities to our members!

Till next month...
