From Your Executive Director |
Ready or not here comes Fall... but before we move on we're going to finish-off Summer with one of the best loved events the Chamber produces... the Edmonds Classic Car Show! Now in its 10th year, the car show is a proven community favorite, and a wonderful way for us to say goodbye to Summer and hello to Fall. The car show takes place this Sunday, September 12th from 10 am - 5 pm on the streets of Downtown Edmonds. Come view the beautiful classic cars; shop Vendor's Row for hot deals; eat at one of the dining gardens or local eateries; and check-out our local shops. Come see why Edmonds is such a great place to live, work, and play! This month we also start work on the 2010 Edmonds Chamber of Commerce map. This beautiful map, which is produced by the Journal Media Group, will be available in late October. The map includes an aerial view of downtown Edmonds on one side, and a map of Edmonds, Woodway, Mountlake Terrace, Lynnwood, and northern King County on the other side. The map is distributed through the Log Cabin Visitors' Center, the Chamber Office, local businesses, the Port of Edmonds, as well as other Visitors' Centers and Chambers throughout Washington. There are GREAT advertising opportunities available to Chamber members (more information later in this issue). Space is limited so don't miss out! As we wrap-up this busy Summer Season I'd like to say THANK YOU to the committee members and volunteers who helped make our summer events possible. The 4th of July was a spectacular day; A Taste of Edmonds was a huge success for the Chamber exceeding our fundraising goals; and we know the Edmonds Classic Car Show will be a huge success as well. So farewell Summer, and hello Fall and all your offerings... Candidates' Forum; The Edmonds International Film Festival; Halloween Trick-or-Treat Night; and the Tree Lighting Ceremony, justto name a few!
