| From Your Executive Director |
Another month over, and a new one begun... March finds us here at the Chamber kicking into high gear with preparations for this year's events and happenings.
The "Taste of Edmonds" committee held their first planning meeting in early February and will meet monthly until the big event on August 13-15. This month the "Edmonds 4th of July" committee will start meeting and planning for the 2010 event, and the Car Show committee will be ramping-up within the next two months for the big event which will be held on Sunday, September 12th this year. We have outlined some great new sponsorship opportunities and you can read all about them on the Chamber website. (More information about 4th of July Sponsorships later in this issue.)
Along with all of the event preparations we are also working hard on our new branding campaign. With the new logo in place we have updated all our correspondence materials, invoices and statements, as well as our business cards. In an effort to simplify things we have also revised our email addresses. Our old email addresses will continue to work but we have begun using the following email addresses in all our email correspondence: For myself it is jvance@edmondswa.com and for Carolyn and it is clafave@edmondswa.com.
The Membership Committee is also working hard to bring our members some new and exciting things. They have designed a new Chamber Logo window cling that will be available to all members soon, the Chamber's twitter account is up and running, and our facebook page is gaining new fans daily. Check out both of these great social medias and become a follower or a fan!
With all the changes taking place here at the Chamber you can rest assured that one thing that won't change is our dedication to our members. Carolyn and I are here to help you in any way we can so if you need assistance please call, email, or stop in to see us.
And last but not least, for all of you who attended this year's banquet we thank you for joining us and we hope you had a wonderful time. It was a festive evening full of great food, friendship, dancing, and even a little karaoke... you can checkout the pictures on our website.

As joyful as the smile on a child's face as they walk in the Children's parade; as satisfying as the person who finishes last in the 5k but is so proud to have finished; as patriotic as the American Flag as it passes by the onlookers on Main Street; and as exciting as every face turned up to an amazing fireworks display; the Edmonds 4th of July - celebrating its 103rd year!
Committee chair for this Edmonds Chamber event, Ron Clyborne, is preparing to get his committee back to work in March. First on the agenda is procuring sponsorship.
With our new Edmonds Chamber Foundation it is even easier than ever to position your product or brand with this well attended community celebration, said Clyborne.
