Chamber Board announces changes in the Chamber
The Board of Directors is pleased to announce the selection of David Kelly as Your Chamber's CEO. David comes to the North Clackamas from Troy, New York. Despite the distance to be traveled before he arrives at our Chamber later this month, David is ready to become an Oregonian. He brings significant experience in Chambers of Commerce leadership, Public Policy and business advocacy and membership growth. He was most impressed with the members he met in a recent visit and looks forward to the opportunity to grow our Chamber.
We also welcome Rhonda Winters, Receptionist/Information Specialist who joined the Chamber in June. Since her arrival just a few weeks ago Rhonda is working hard to meet the members and learn how to best serve you. Stop in and introduce yourself any time. She can be reached at info@yourchamber.com with any questions or needs you may have.
Laura Edmonds, will join the team as the new Membership Director next week. Many of you may know Laura as a business owner, dedicated Chamber member and Volunteer having served on many teams over the years. Her background in business development and program coordination will be an asset to our members and organization.
Unfortunately, with these arrivals, the Chamber also announces departures among the staff. On July 1, Wilda Parks, former CEO of 13 years and VP External Affairs for this past year, left the Chamber team. Wilda has been on medical leave through June. As soon as she has regained her strength, an evening of thanks and celebration of her life's chapter with the chamber will honor her dedication, leadership and service. All members will be invited. Stay tuned for more information. Parks' new email address is wilda37@comcast.net, and her phone number is 503.957.9093. The Board presented Wilda with a well-earned lifetime, honorary membership in the Chamber at the Annual Banquet.
Lastly, we announce Membership Specialist, Deena Jensen has made the decision to work with her husband as Senior Loan Officer for American Capital Mortgage. Deena joined the Chamber staff in September of 2011 after almost 20 years in the mortgage business. Working with her husband to develop a new company is a challenge she just could not pass up. We look forward to having Deena's upbeat spirit and continued involvement with the Chamber as an Ambassador and member.
