Network at multi-chamber event in a community forest    

Hopkins Demonstration Forest Join members from the Oregon City and West Linn Chambers of Commerce at a Business After Hours on Thursday, July 19, 2012 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm. Make business connections while you enjoy food, beverages, raffle prizes and fun at the completed Forest Hall at Hopkins Demonstration Forest, 16750 South Brockway Road in Oregon City. Forest tours will be available at 4:00pm as well as an optional bird walk at 7:00pm. While the event is free, RSVPs to 503.632.2150 will be greatly appreciated.

New Clackamas SBDC director named                 

Experienced business leader and part-time instructor Rob Campbell has been named the new director of the Clackamas Community College Small Business Development Center (SBDC). The CCC Board of Education approved the new director at its June meeting.

CCC foundation names new executive directoGreg A. Fitzgeraldr                  


 Greg A. Fitzgerald, a veteran of philanthropy, development and nonprofit management, has been named the executive director of the Clackamas Community College Foundation. The CCC Board of Education approved the hire at its June meeting. Fitzgerald will start on July 2.

Celebrating 100 years of service 

Saturday, August 18th from 10am until 2pm Sandy Fire District will be hosting a Centennial Celebration complete with events for the whole family and an antique apparatus and emergency vehicle show. Plan to spend a few hours celebrating Sandy Fire District's 100th birthday. Food vendors will be on site, Sandy Fire District Centennial memorabilia will be on sale and our professional district photographers will be taking FREE photos with their very own 1940 Antique Fire Engine, complete with firefighting gear to wear. In addition to hosting a FREE swim day at the local pool, there will also be a kids bucket brigade and other activities for youth..

Construction continues

 

This summer, construction for the Portland-Milwaukie Light Rail Transit Project in Oak Grove and Milwaukie will include:

  • private and public utility relocation
  • tree and vegetation clearing of the alignment
  • wall construction
  • roadway construction
  • initial work on the Kellogg Bridge
  • construction of the Tillamook Crossing bridge and of light rail structures at Tacoma Street and Johnson Creek
In general, construction may take place 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday.  More information
