Clackamas Fire averaged 128 cardiac arrests in the last 3 years. The evidence is well defined that the chance of surviving a cardiac arrest declines by approximately 10% for each minute without defibrillation. Beyond 12 minutes, the chance of survival is 2% to 5%. Leadership is important to our economy! Leadership is developed! Leadership begins at a young age. The North Clackamas County Chamber of Commerce Community Foundation is a separate 501(c)(3) that aims to develop leaders. Beginning with the Leadership Class project of 2004, funds were raised to offer a senior high school graduate of the Chamber's Young Leaders Project a college scholarship to further their education and leadership development.
