The map will be both printed and available electronically for visitors, tourists and our community. As well as being handed out by Your Chamber, thousands will be distributed by local hotels, visitor destinations, retirement communities and in community relocation packets. Chamber office hours to change
Beginning on December 5, 2011 Your Chamber will be open to the public from 9:00am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday, including during lunch. During these hours we will be greeting visitors and answering telephones. Meetings with individuals and teams will continue as scheduled during both open and closed hours.
Our new phone system makes it convenient to leave a message for any staff member during closed hours.

Chamber member awarded national account. "It wouldn't have happened without the Chamber!"
 Exclamation Advertising & Graphic Design, a four year member of North Clackamas Chamber of Commerce, has just secured a national account with Honest-1 Auto Care, also a Chamber member. Larry Cranford, Vice-President of Exclamation Advertising, met the Honest One area manager this last Spring at an AM Business Connection hosted by Honest One in Clackamas. He says it never would have happened if it hadn't been for his Chamber connection. After submitting a proposal, Larry's company was chosen for the project over five other competitors, winning hands down for both price and service. "But I'd never have had the opportunity if it weren't for the Chamber. It really works!"

Enjoy breakfast with Santa (and mini golf)
 Eagle Landing Golf Course will be hosting an event on December 4, 2011 from 8:00am - 2:00pm to raise money for some worthy non-profits - Legacy of Love and the North Clackamas School District's Backpack Buddies Program. Enjoy their waffle bar, free miniature golf, photo with Santa, and hourly drawings for prizes.

 The Oregonian is offering you the opportunity to publish your business milestones and events in its paper and/or be included on the business page of their affiliated website, Oregonlive. They recently relaunched the paper's daily and Sunday Business sections, with a different look and a number of new features. A key change is the expansion of their Industry Notes, People on the Move and Calendar listings. This is news, not advertising. So there's no charge.

CCC publications bring home the Gold!
 Clackamas Community College (CCC) took home four awards for excellence in communications at the recent regional conference of the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR) in Tacoma. The Medallion Awards are given annually to recognize outstanding marketing and promotional materials.

Grant opportunity for Milwaukie tourism related projects
The City of Milwaukie received $20,000 from the Clackamas County Office of Tourism & Cultural Affairs under their Community Partnership Program. These funds are for specific tourism related projects. This year, the City is inviting public, private and non-profit organizations within Milwaukie to submit proposals for projects to be funded with the City's allocation. Proposals may be for as large as $20,000 or for a smaller amount.
