Leadership Forum Luncheon Wednesday, October 26, 2011
Bringing diverse groups together with Secretary of State Kate Brown Registration requested by October 21, 2011 Join Secretary of State, Kate Brown, and the 2012 Class of Leadership Clackamas County (LCC) and Clackamas County Young Leaders' Project (YLP) on October 26 for Your Chamber's annual presentation on Leadership. As leaders, one of our challenges is getting diverse groups of people to come together to work on goals that benefit our businesses, our community, even our future. Secretary Brown will share her experiences as a leader bringing people together. Chamber seeks tourism grant projects
Your Chamber will hold an informational Tourism Project Funding meeting on Monday, October 24 for those interested in applying for funding for tourism-related projects in the Gladstone and unincorporated North Clackamas County area. Funded through the Community Partnership Program, the opportunity to apply for funding is open to anyone with a tourism project that meets the requirements of the grant and the goals of the defined area. Holocaust survivor and author to visit CCC
Holocaust survivor Alter Wiener will speak at Clackamas Community College (CCC) on Thursday, October 27, from noon to 2 pm in the McLoughlin Auditorium. In his book, "64735 - From A Name to A Number, a Holocaust Survivor's Autobiography," he conveys the message that prejudice leads to tragedy, and tolerance is imperative. Costume inquiries are up, complaints are down
As Halloween creeps closer, shoppers are costume hunting with enthusiasm and examination. Locally, Better Business Bureau's (BBB) inquiries on "Costumes - Masquerade & Theatrical" companies have gone up, while complaints have dropped substantially.
