Behind the scenes in D.C.; does business benefit?
An overview of the nation's budget process, and what Congress does next, along with what Congress is doing for business, will be the focus of a presentation Thursday, August 18 by Congressman Kurt Schrader.
The business community will have an opportunity to discuss issues and ask questions at a breakfast with the District 5 Congressman as the speaker. His discussion includes fiscal reform and other business issues and his perspectives of what is happening on Capitol Hill that affects business.

There will be something for everyone at safety fair
The 2011 Safety and Roadway Fair will be held at Clackamas Town Center on Saturday August 27th from 10:00am to 3:00pm. Free Child ID Kits and reduced priced helmets will be available. Safety professionals will be on hand to answer questions and provide important prevention messages. And there's more. Fire engines, water craft, command vehicles, and road equipment like dirt movers will be on hand. Children can visit stations and earn prizes by answering safety questions. Road closure for Trolley Trail construction
Courtney Avenue - from Lee Avenue to Rupert Drive - will be closed to through traffic from Monday, August 15, to Monday, August 29. This is part of the Trolley Trail construction project. On August 27th bike in the 2011 Lancette Memorial Ride to benefit Clackamas Women's Services. Ride in celebration of Teresa Beiser's life. This will be a ride for every man and women wanting to empower women and children so they can establish lives free of domestic and sexual violence.
