It's time to celebrate your business!  Spring is the perfect time to set aside the challenges facing the business community and celebrate your business by honoring those staff members, business associates, family, friends, and even yourself at the Business Appreciation Luncheon (formerly Employee Appreciation Luncheon). 
 

The annual event will be held at the Monarch Hotel & Conference Center 12566 SE 93rd Avenue, Clackamas, 97015. Verdict Bar and Grill (The)The Verdict Bar and Grill is hosting our Business After Hours on Thursday, April 21st from 5:30pm - 7:00pm. We are also having a ribbon cutting for their new expanded space. This relaxed networking event makes for a pleasant end to your work day. This is the perfect opportunity to invite a guest or business client. A smaller group and informal atmosphere create an environment where you can have a relaxed conversation with someone.  North Clackamas Chamber is partnering with Oregon City Chamber on this event.  We hope you can make it and show your support to The Verdict Bar & Grill.

Clackamas County Working Solutions program offers employment services to veterans

Clackamas County has received $381,000 in Federal funding to offer employment services to military veterans who have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and/or Traumatic Brain Injury.  The program, known as Working Solutions, will be offered by the Community Solutions Division of Clackamas County's Department of Health, Housing, and Human Services.

The program will assist 42 veterans to translate their skills to a civilian economy, resume preparation, interview practice, finding job leads, and making sure the workplace accommodates the needs of veterans and those with disabilities.

Sojourner School seeks community representative for Board Position
 
Sojourner School, a public magnet program in the North Clackamas District, seeks applicants for the community representative position on the school's Board of Directors.  Sojourner's nine-member board includes teachers, founders, parents, a community member, and an administrator.  The school's curriculum is based on the Multiple Intelligences theory of Dr. Howard Gardner.

Clackamas County announces hiring of new county parks manager

Jeroen Kok has been hired as the new manager of County Parks and Forest, Clackamas County Director of Business and Community Services Gary Barth announced. The position was formerly held by Mike McLees who retired.

Chamber member hosts Easter egg hunt
 
Eagle Landing Golf CourseEagle Landing Golf Course is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt on their miniature golf course this coming Saturday April 23rd from 9am to 11am. $5 for both kids and adults includes admission into the 1000+ egg hunt, 18 holes of miniature golf, pictures with the Easter Bunny, and donuts and coffee! Be the lucky hunter who finds the $100 dollar egg! Half of the proceeds will benefit the North Clackamas Backpack Buddies program, which provides weekend meals for students in need.
