1.  Thank you to everyone who officiated during the Nomads Coaches Showcase. Thank you to everyone who offered to officiate games, but did not get an assignment. Remember that we do make assignments based on when the AVAILABILITY form is sent, and  other factors include such things as paid dues, length of availability for any given day, appropriateness of experience for the games being assigned, and completed registration with Cal South.

 

2. When filling out AVAILABILITY forms, PLEASE FILL THE FORM OUT COMPLETELY FOR EACH EVENT.  Please include your contact information. This was extremely important during the Nomads and State Cup. I know you don't believe it, but it does rain in southern California, and fields do close.

 

3. ANOTHER REMINDER.......When you send your AVAILABILITY forms to Leanne, be sure to keep a copy for yourself. If your availability changes, it is imperative that you notify her immediately. Assignments are made based on what you send to the assignor. There is a COMMENTS SECTION on the form. Be sure to use it to let her know if this is a change to your original availability, or if you have some type of special request.

 

4. Time is running out to complete the 2011 referee registration. There are several clinics listed on the Cal South web site, and Tom is doing a GREAT job letting you know of upcoming classes for re certification. You need the instructional hours as well as the written test to register. If you have issues with the Risk Management portion, we are happy to assist you. Also, you must run the physical fitness test if you are Grade 7, 6, 5.

 

5. IMPORTANT INSTRUCTION AT EVERY MEETING.

WE GIVE AWAY $100.00 FOR REFEREE EQUIPMENT AT EVERY MEETING. All members who have paid annual dues can participate.
