For those of you taking State Cup games:
We recognize that many of you work for various associations. We also have a lot of referees who are new to our association.
As such, this is a good time to remind, or inform, you of our association's standard regarding State Cup Games.
SDSRA's policy is that no referee may take more than three (3) State Cup games in any one day. This is regardless of the age group.
If you receive games from us, DO NOT work games from another assignor on the same day.
If you receive games from another assignor, DO NOT work games for us on the same day.
This was a problem last year for a few referees and they suffered the consequences.
Do not make the mistake of assuming we don't find out these things...we always do. Usually before the end of the day.
State Cup is a special level of competition and we treat it as such.
Also, we do look at the Paid Dues list when making assignments, please be aware of that.
