Greetings!
YOU are responsible for making sure:
- You are listed on the CalSouth Registered Officials List, for either 2010 or 2011.
- You are listed with "APPROVED" status in the Risk Management (RM) column.
This needs to be done BEFORE you submit availability and accept assignments. We do our best, as an association and as assignors, to help you comply with the requirements of CalSouth but we can't do it all when we are assigning hundreds of referees each weekend.
You, the individual referee, has the obligation to make sure you are following the rules which have been told to you over and over again.
If you have not done so already: - Click on the links to the right, 2010 or 2011 Registered Officials List;
- Confirm your Risk Management Status;
- Print the page with your name and APPROVED status on it;
- Put that page in your referee bag for the rest of the season.
If your name is not on either list and/or your RM status is not APPROVED, contact your assignor or association and get help IMMEDIATELY to get it resolved.
For those of you doing Presidio Gaming League matches, failure to comply with the requirement potentially puts the validity of game in jeopardy.
By the way, for you newly licensed referees, we have been informed, if you are 18 or over there is NO grace period to get your Risk Management completed.
The only grace period we know of is 90 days from the date you turn 18 to get Risk Management completed.
SDSRA folks I am happy to help you, just send me a note. Good Luck this weekend!
