Here's an update on the clinic for the June 26th -
LOCATION:
Westview High School
3500 Camino Del Sur
San Diego, CA 92129
PHYSICAL:
Starts at 8:00am sharp. Start warming up and checking in at 7:30am.
WRITTEN TEST:
Follows the physical in classroom D117
THOSE RE-CERTIFYING ONLY:
You will be done after the physical, written test AND review.
THOSE UPGRADING:
You will meet in classroom D117 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm for upgrade classroom work.
** This clinic is NOT for Grade 8 referees unless they are upgrading to Grade 7.
Requirements to upgrade to 7:
* at least 17 years of age
* 75 games as referee and 25 games as assistant
* 85% on Grade 8 recertification test
* Pass one assessment as Referee U17 or higher
* Pass USSF physical test
** Attendees must register at CalSouth, see the instructions below.
It will be a fun group, there are 30 registered already!

You will need to attend a re-certification/upgrade clinic this year and submit that paperwork with your 2011 registration submission. The re-cert clinic includes the written test and the required physical. The upgrade component includes additional instruction.
This clinic is NOT for the Grade 8 referee
who
will remain a Grade 8 referee.
There is only one of these clinics scheduled for the San Diego area. The clinic is June 26, 2010. The venue has not been determined.
The itinerary is not yet published. Plan on this though, if you are doing a recert only you'll be there for half the day. If you are there for an upgrade you will be there all day.

Other June clinics will be held in Glendora or Ventura. There will be other recert/upgrade clinics in November too, all up North, Glendora, Colton, and Los Angeles.
Prior registration is suggested on the CalSouth website, the cost is $25. I'd strongly suggest you get registered early just in case enrollment becomes limited later. This clinic is two months away and there are already registrations occurring.

- Click on the Search button
- Click on the Recertification/Upgrade Clinic English/Spanish June 26, 2010
- Click on the Register button. Follow all the prompts. You will need a credit card.
- If you do not already have an account the system will help you set one up.
- You will receive a confirmation email of your registration.
- You can view the current list of attendees if you want to. At the bottom of the page, in the middle, click on Attendee List-Click Here
