Greetings!
I couldn't resist sending this great example of Fair Play displayed by Iranian soccer player, Amin Motavassel Zadeh.
So often, as we must in our profession, we spend our time examining and discussing fouls, misconduct as well as player and administrator management. Typically the more controversial parts of the game.
Here though a professional player, where a goal in a game can be worth a great deal in many ways, exhibits great sportsmanship in the match that took place January 28, 2010 at
Hafezieh Stadium-Shiraz.
He would likely easily have scored the goal but instead sent the ball
off the pitch, when he saw the keeper was injured falling to the
ground.
Certainly there are those who will say he should have taken advantage and scored. I appreciate his decision.
It can happen, even on your field! Click the image or the link below and enjoy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IgQ8mQsyQ5U
