Greetings!

MEMBERSHIP

Your annual member ship dues are now due if you have not paid them already! You annual dues are $25 for an adult and $10 if you will be under 16 in August. Pat Novak, our treasurer, will collect your dues at any meeting. If you cannot make a meeting please mail your dues to:
1350 Friends Way, Fallbrook, CA  92082

Please take a moment to read the email at the bottom of this note from Nasser Sarfaraz, our State Director of Instruction. You will note there are now financial expectations of our association, to the State office, that we have not had before. We need paid members to prevent raising fees overall.

Unlike any other association we know of, think of the great benefits you get for such a low fee:
  • Cash on The Field
  • NO additional per game fee
  • NO percentage fees of any kind
  • NO Arbiter requirement
  • Monthly meetings and instruction
  • Outstanding assignment opportunities
  • Excellent mentoring and training
We think you'll agree, SDSRA does it right and is worth every penny of this very nominal fee.

The process of re-certification in 2010 for 2011 were explained in detail in the president's meeting a few months back and my feeling was that every president in the meeting agreed that this process will benefit every referee member in their association. Other benefit to this is the opportunity for our referees to hear someone other that their own "home" instructor.

What was said to Leann was in reference to the per Diem that we have asked every association to assist us with to provide quality instructors who will bring the right information to our referees in your group. The game plan for your association is:

1) Jeremy will assign an instructor to bring the crucial January message that is very important for our referees to hear so that NO ONE is confused as to how the process will take place in 2010. It will be up to the referees to be in attendance before they jeopardize their registration. You as their leaders are not responsible for their attendance. They have only 10 sessions to complete in 2010.

Please announce your meeting in your newsletter with emphasis on BEING IN ATTENDANCE at any cost to hear the process.

2) Your organization will have first 4 months of the year to collect and submit the monthly per Diem of $100.00 so we can bring quality instructions to our referees in your association. The referees in your association certainly do enough games in 12 months to assist your association with the funding process. That portion will be up to you, the board of directors.

3) Worst case scenario, Hassan will be assigned in February to review the info with those who missed the January meeting due to their school games.

Please let Jeremy know where and when your association meets (if you have not already done) and he will assign an instructor.

We must raise our standards and expectations of our referees to be able to produce the best for our local games as well as putting some of our potential referees on the radar screen for bigger games and God only knows how crucial your role is in this process.

Thanks for being a team player.
