Hello Members & Friends,

It is with a heavy heart that I write about the passing of Dorothy Kijowski, a dear DSAV grandparent representative, Down syndrome advocate and the mother of co-founder, Michele Jones.  Dorothy was the sweet smile and cheerful words that welcomed many to DSAV events. Always lending a hand and advocating for those with Down syndrome; just three days before leaving us, she presented the mission of DSAV to yet another area service group.  As with all who knew her, we at the Down Syndrome Association of the Valley were blessed to have her in our lives.  Our organization will not be the same without her.

Please read on for DSAV events and activities coming up over the next few months, we hope you can join us.

Warmly,

~Kelly
