Hello Members & Friends,

Welcome MARCH!  Hopefully Spring weather is soon on the way.

Parents should have received our recent mailer which included a copy of the Family Grant application and an upcoming event postcard for easy reference.

I hope you will be able to join us for our World Down Syndrome Day celebration on Saturday, March 20th at the Center for Success.  We have some great speakers planned for the day.  Starting at 10:00, the World Down Syndrome Day proclamation from Congressman Tim Ryan will be presented followed by two great speakers.  See below for details and to register.

Don't forget about DSAV Story time, held the second Saturday of every month.  This interactive hour is a great way for your children to hear some good books, play with some friends and for parents to connect.  No good gathering is complete without food...so snacks are always available.

Our LAMP learning sessions kick off this month on Friday the 26th.  This is an opportunity for parents to review the materials we offer for use at the Center for Success or to borrow to be used at home.  The computers are on, so you and your children can work on some of the software programs, too.  Stop in anytime between 11:00am and 1:00pm.

You still have time to register for some great conferences that are being held around our region.  See below for topics and dates

We are excited to be bringing a reading program workshop to our area on May 6th and 7th.  eReadingPro has been helping visual learners begin or better their reading skills all across the U.S., Canada and beyond.  Ideal for parents, educators, reading specialists or anyone who works with visual learners, we are pleased to have the support of our State Support Team Region 5 for this event.  The workshops will be held at the SST-5 meeting room at the Eastwood mall.  Make plans now to attend either May 6th or May 7th
