We are so EXCITED!
 
We can't wait for you to join us for the Grand Opening of the DSAV Center for Success.   Coming in October!
 
The DSAV Center for Success is located at 945 Boardman-Canfield Rd., Suite 12, Boardman, OH 44512.
 
Located at Parkside Place, this 1,300 square feet of
space will serve as our office and also be where DSAV meetings and programs will be held. 
 
Remember...this center is for you! 

From education and healthcare programs to life
skills and social activities, the DSAV Center for Success encompasses the life-span of individuals with Down syndrome.

We need your help...
Walls are being painted, carpets are being cleaned, furniture is being moved in and programs are being put together, but we need your help!  Please see below for areas where we can use volunteers.
 
  • DSAV Office - individuals who possess computer knowledge (IE: Excel, Publisher,  Contribute, Photoshop, MS office), as well as excellent administrative and communication skills.
  • Education - certified teachers, paraprofessionals or parents with a strong interest in education to help get the Parents & Schools in Partnership program underway as well as help facilitate the DSAV Literacy program.
  • Healthcare - licensed medical professionals to help implement our Healthcare Partnership program with physicians, health departments and nurses throughout the valley.
  • Hospital Liason - any DSAV member willing to keep in regular contact with area hospital maternity and social work departments ensuring our New Parent Packs are in place.
  • Parent Contact - Parents who complete the parent training program will be available for phone calls or visits (as requested) with new or expectant parents who receive a Ds diagnosis.

2009 Family Grants Deadline is today.

The independent grant committee will be reviewing the applications within the next few weeks.
 
Letters will be mailed to all applicants and checks to providers will follow.
