Transit Road Paving Rescheduled

The repaving of South Transit Road, from Millersport Highway to the Lockport City Line, originally scheduled to begin in July, has been rescheduled to begin in early August, according to the NYS Department of Transportation. The project is expected to be completed in approximately 30 days.

Transit North News is published by the Town of Lockport Economic Development Department in order to keep businesses located on Lockport's Transit Road Corridor informed about business developments and public improvements which may impact their operations. Transit North encompasses the section of NY 78 within Niagara County, from Millersport Highway to the Erie Canal.

The Town of Lockport, through its contract with Waste Management, has enrolled local households in the RecycleBank program. Waste Management provides curbside garbage collection within the Town of Lockport. Town residents that participate in the RecycleBank program earn points based on the amount of recyclable products they place in their weekly curbside disposal. Town residents can access coupons online as part of the rewards system.

Burrito Bay on Transit
Burrito Bay continues to prepare their newest location, at 5774 South Transit Road, for a late August opening. The Lockport restaurant will be the second store for Burrito Bay.
