The NYS Department of Transportation will repave South Transit Road, from Millersport Highway to the Lockport City Line, beginning in early July. The project is expected to be completed in approximately 30 days.

Transit North News is published by the Town of Lockport Economic Development Department in order to keep businesses located on Lockport's Transit Road Corridor informed about business developments and public improvements which may impact their operations. Transit North encompasses the section of NY 78 within Niagara County, from Millersport Highway to the Erie Canal. 

Niagara Nissan Renovates

Cappellino Nissan Logo 

Cappellino's Niagara Nissan, located at 6069 South Transit Road is in the process of renovating its auto dealership showroom and administrative offices. The $400,000 project is expected to be completed by August.

Planning Board Approves

Magic Mist Project

 

A four-bay car wash will open at 6719 South Transit Road following approval this month by the Town of Lockport Planning Board. The facility, to be located at the intersection of South Transit Road and Bartz Road, is being developed by Craig Heidemann.

 

Burrito Bay Coming to Lockport

Burrito Bay, the popular Erie County Mexican food restaurant at 2341 Millersport Highway in Getzville, will open a Lockport eatery at 5774 South Transit Road. The Lockport restaurant becomes the second store for Burrito Bay; a mid-August opening is expected.
