Basil Toyota's new auto showroom and service center at 6157 South Transit Road
Basil Toyota has completed and opened its new 16,000 SF state-of-the-art auto sales showroom and service center at 6157 South Transit Road. The 3 million dollar project replaces Basil's previous sales facility at 6179 South Transit Road, which will be repurposed for used car sales and service by Basil.

Work progresses on the $840,000 concession/projection facility for the four-screen Transit Drive-In
Transit Drive-In, one of the few remaining outdoor drive-in movie centers in Western New York, has begun construction of its new 6,400 SF movie projector and concession facility. The $840,000 project will be ready for use by the opening of the 2012 season. Transit Drive-In features four outdoor movie screens and a 19-hole miniature golf course.
International Stone Gallery, a fabricator, retailer and installer of stone countertops, has opened a new retail showroom and sales office at 6251 South Transit Road. International Stone Gallery, which is one of the largest stone countertop operators in Western New York, also operates a fabrication and sales shop at 6478 Ridge Road (NY 104) in Lockport.
Lockport Town Supervisor Marc Smith staffed the exhibit while promoting retail opportunities in Lockport at the New York National Conference in December, 2011. Supervisor Smith and Economic Development Coordinator David Kinyon met with developers and retailers about the Transit North development.
Walmart to Begin Site Work
Site work at the location of the new Lockport Walmart Supercenter will begin in February, 2012. Work will include the tear-out of asphalt and the installation of sewer and water lines in preparation for the construction of the new 185,209 SF shopping center.
