Introl Design Expands to Industrial Park Site

Introl Design

Introl Design

Introl Design Incorporated, a 40 year-old manufacturer of industrial motion control devices, will relocate to the Lockport Industrial Park as the result of an incentive package approved by the Town of Lockport Industrial Development Agency.  Introl Design, which has operated from a building located at 48 North Street in the City of Lockport since 1978, will expand to a new 12,000 SF facility located at the Upper Mountain Road entrance to the Lockport Industrial Park; the Industrial Park is owned by the IDA. The approximately $700,000 construction project will result in the retention of the current 15 employees and the creation of another six jobs at the conclusion of the project. Construction is scheduled to begin in the Spring of 2011.

IDA Sparks Spartech

Re-Opening

Spartech Polycom

Spartech Polycom in the IDA Park

Spartech Polycom, once a major supplier of the General Motors Lockport site, has been approved for a five-year payment in lieu of tax agreement (PILOT) as an inducement to resume manufacturing operations. The $4 million Spartech Polycom facility originally began operations in the Lockport Industrial Park in 1986, but had ceased manufacturing in December, 2009 due in part to declining business at the Lockport GM facility. If Spartech is successful in concluding contracts with General Motors and other potential customers for the production of polypropylene products, an initial four-person workforce could be increased to eight employees.
