Thomren (TJ) Boyd,

 Operations Center Engineer: Network Specialist

TJ Boyd parlayed five years of experience of hardware and software configuring into being one of the first hires by Yahoo for the Lockport Datacenter. A native of Niagara Wheatfield and a graduate of ITT Technical Institute in Getzville, Boyd began as a Mobil Deployment Field Technician for Synergy Global Solutions in 2006; he moved on to a Helpdesk Specialist position at Delaware North in Buffalo, and was then promoted to Network Operator with the Buffalo-based conglomerate. Boyd's tenure with Yahoo began in February, 2010, although the Lockport datacenter did not become operational until mid-August. He spent six months at Yahoo's Sunnyvale, California headquarters. While there, he underwent intensive training in Backbone Networking and Incident Management.

Kaitlyn Whitlock,

Network Operations Engineer

Kaitlyn Whitlock is a native of Lockport and a graduate of Lockport High School. Whitlock was a Cum Laude graduate of Brockport State College with a Bachelor of Science degree in

Computer Information Systems. Whitlock's work history began while she was a student at Brockport State, where she held numerous positions in the college's Library Information Technology Services. In the summer of 2009, Whitlock worked as a Data Processing Micro Intern in Niagara County's Central Data Processing Department. She joined the Yahoo team in May, 2010 as a Network Operations Engineer. Whitlock began her Lockport responsibilities after completing a nine week Yahoo training program at the Sunnyvale network operations center.
