basetec Targets Coil Technology 

Some old things are becoming new again. Just as Herbert Harrison and Harrison Radiator became leaders in the heat transfer industry through the design and manufacture of the hexagon radiator, one of Lockport's newest companies is seeking to apply 21st century technology to the design and sale of products for today's heat transfer industry. basetec, a worldwide leader in heat exchange technology, has located their North and Latin America headquarters in the South Lockport Medical Campus on Snyder Drive.
            Robert Runk, Chief Engineer for basetec, explained that basetec will service the OEM (original equipment manufacturer) market for manufacturers of heating and cooling equipment, particularly for residential and industrial applications. basetec began in Europe, and the Lockport office will provide design and sales services for the North and Latin American market.
            One of the manufacturing processes utilized by basetec applies micro-channel technology, a process pioneered in the automotive heat transfer sector and now applied to consumer and non-automotive products. In addition to employing this coil technology, basetec provides a high level of technical support to its customers.  basetec also supplies traditional tube and fin coil technology and works with its customers to help determine the right coil technology and product for each application.  basetec is flexible enough to fulfill small orders as well as large runs.
