Summit Print & Mail, a 24 year-old  Lockport business which specializes in direct mail, marketing and printing services to commercial, retail and not for profit clients, will undertake a 1,000 to 2,000 square foot addition to its Old Beattie Road location in the Town of Lockport. Approved for a tax incentive package by the Lockport IDA, the Summit Print expansion will enable the company, which currently employs 6 full time and 2 part time people to, to purchase new high-end printing equipment to supplement their other services.

Contracts Unlimited, Inc., a 21-year old machine shop and steel fabricator firm specializing in laser cutting and assembly, is nearing completion of the 12,000 square foot addition to their existing building in the Lockport Industrial Park. The $500,000 project will result in the creation of 10 jobs in addition to the 32 jobs in the original 20,000 square foot facility on an adjacent parcel. Contracts Unlimited moved into the Industrial Park in 1999, and has experienced a steady increase in its business activity over the last 10 years. Contracts Unlimited was recently recognized by the Niagara Small Business Development Center with its prestigious "Apex" Award.

Niagara Frontier Distribution Acquires Facility

 
Niagara Frontier Distribution, a warehouse/assembly business located at 5638 Old Saunders Settlement Road, has completed the acquisition of the 50,000 square foot building it has operated in for the last two years. Niagara Frontier Distribution, which is owned by Matthew Hashem, was approved by the Town of Lockport Industrial Development Agency in April for a tax incentive package, to assist in the development of the one-story facility as an industrial assembly and warehouse incubator. There are currently 15 businesses employing 19 people at the facility.

The Town of Lockport Industrial Development Agency owns the 400-acre Lockport Industrial Park, located north of NY 31 and east of NY 270, which is home to 13 manufacturing and warehousing firms employing a total of 200. The Town of Lockport is also one of three municipalities in the Transit North, a 12 mile long commercial corridor, anchored by the historic Erie Canal on the north and bordered by the Towns of Amherst and Clarence on the south.
