TRANSFORMING COMBAT ZONES INTO COMFORT ZONES
MARCH 2012
Greetings!

We don't always have sufficient storage space in the areas of our homes where it may be needed most.  Smaller homes like NYC apartments which typically have limited closet space and cabinets can pose significant challenges when trying to find an appropriate storage spot for all those items that are used daily.  These are the types of situations which require a little outside of the box creativity coupled with some basic organizing strategies.

Case Study:

This was the very situation that my client was facing.  While he has a good sized kitchen by NYC standards, storage space in and right outside his bathroom is significantly lacking.  As a result, his toiletries, vitamins and other pharmacy items filled the entire pantry cabinet in the kitchen and overflowed onto the kitchen counter which was already crowded with the coffee pot, toaster and other frequently used kitchen utensils.

My client needed help creating a logical plan for better organizing his kitchen so that his toiletries, household maintenance items and small kitchen appliances, glasses and dishes would all have their own designated cabinet space.   Read the case study to learn more about this project and to see the before/after pictures.
