Encaustic Circle Newsletter - April 2012
Dear ,

it's Good Friday and a glorious day here in the Okanagan. The air is crisp and clear; there's still some snow on the far-away
mountains. And I just heard a woodpecker in our neighbour's garden!

I hope you will enjoy the holidays in good company of friends and family, or, as an alternative, by spending some time painting.

The way she works with encaustic is truly unique and she comes up with different stuff all the time!

Art Trip 2012
ArtTrip 2012

Open Studio season will start soon and I'll be putting my sign out again. Feel free to call ahead to see if I'm open.

This year for the first time ever, Artists' Studios in Naramata, Summerland, Penticton and south to Vaseux Lake, will all hold special open houses on May 19 and 20 from 11 am - 5 pm.
The ART TRIP is a free self guided driving tour that will create a memorable day or two.
I'll be delighted to welcome you into my studio!

The past four weeks I stirred up my creative juices by taking an online Art Journal workshop with Judy Wise. The amount of mixed media techniques she has at her fingertips is mind-boggling!

I had a blast messing about in my journal, learning about decorating the pages in many ways, and about myself through journal prompts. No wax involved (yet...)

It is very inspiring to try something completely different: highly recommended!

Dont look back

This was one of my pages.

The little girl is me, and the text on the balloon says: Don't look back, you're not going that way.

A very fitting quote, all things considered...;-))

Happy painting!
