here's a quick update about the upcoming workshops.
This spring & summer I'll be teaching in the Okanagan, 100 Mile House and Vancouver, so lots of opportunities to heat your waxes ...;-)

 Workshop Landscapes

Dates: May 4, 5 and 6, 2012 Time: 9 AM - noon Place: Kenyon House, Okanagan Falls

Circle meeting
Date: Saturday, May 26, 2012 Time: 10 AM - 3 PM Place: Leir House Penticton
Costs: $10.00
Ongoing:
At my studio I will continue to offer basic classes on painting with the painting iron, encaustic collages or making your own medium. These can be booked to fit your own schedule.
Online classes: If you're unable to attend workshops in person online lessons are a great way to learn too. My dear friend Linda Womack, internationally recognized artist, author and art instructor from Portland, OR, is offering a line of classes through wonderful videos.

Encaustic on the Road

The weather is getting more predictable and I'm eager to hit the road again!
The next out-of-town workshop will be in 100 Mile House, organized by my dear friend Grace Mills-Hodgins.
Dates: April 21 and April 22, 2012
Day 1. Program for beginners
Day 2. Advanced program with Hot plates and other techniques.
Cost: Day 1: $ 80.00
Day 2: $100.00
or $180.00 for both days (there maybe a materials fee of $10.00, but beginners need not buy supplies before hand)

A heads-up that I'll be teaching in Vancouver on June 22 in the studio of Sheila Gouchie.
Location: Sheila's studio in Vancouver
Time: 9 - 4
Fee: $125.00 + HST (includes supplies and a delicious organic lunch!)

Mixed Media Encaustic, June 23
Encaustic and mixed media is a match made in heaven! Instead of having to deal with messy glues and drying time, the wax holds almost anything instantly and gives the work a beautiful, dreamy patina.
