Hello and welcome to this month's edition of our newsletter.

We're in the middle of July and right in the heart of the vacation season. As we await the decisions of our law makers we try and maintain an upbeat and positive outlook and continue to improve our businesses and daily functions. We're all hoping that our economy gets the chance to gain some steam and begin to show real signs of growth. We also hope and pray that our government officials do the right thing for our people and our country.

Avanti Engineering has been busy in most areas with a little slow down in our multi spindle department. Backlogs are lighter than normal and deliveries have slowed a bit. We have equipment availability in most departments with lead times running 3 to 4 weeks in some areas. If you are looking for quick turnaround, now is a good time to inquire.

Value added services and materials remain at high levels overall and continue to "price burden" everyone from the bottom supplier to the top end user. It's frustrating to absorb the high materials and services when the overall economy is struggling. This variable has been difficult but necessary to stay alive in a tough market. We thank everyone for your cooperation in these tough times.
