The Mind Is a Precious Thing

Yes, it is a precious thing, but in order to experience its preciousness, you need to develop good self esteem and a good self image.

If either of these is deficient, it will lead you down a sad and worrisome journey. We all may beat ourselves up over something that we may have side, done or experienced and thought that things could have been better if we had thought differently.

However, everything that is done at any time in life is right at that time, for the person who received whatever it was did so because of what they had to work with at the time.

No where in the Scriptures does it ever say that everything one wants is theirs. The mind is precious and Our Father desires you to experience only good. However, if all the puzzle pieces are not available, then it is a Truth that what is for you may be delayed.

What does one have to do in order to develop self esteem? It might be very helpful that one becomes very secure in their belief system of who they are. We are told that we are children of Our Father.

The next question then would be: Do I truly believe that or are they simply words? Only one who really knows who they are can a good self image and good self esteem be realized. Thus, understanding Who Our Father is relates to who a person is.

The Scriptures say we are created in the image of Our Father and after His likeness. If we forget this, then the self image and self esteem drops to a lower level. A good self image and self esteem gives one the assurance that life is for them and never against them.

It also says that one never turns away from good criticism, for good criticism says that you know who you are and nothing can disturb you. It simply gives you thoughts to think about never putting you down or making you think you are more than you are.

In other words, you feel secure in who you are-Our Father's Loving Child.

The Lord's Way - Let Nothing Disturb You and Let Nothing Stop You - Part III

Too often we are disturbed by mundane sayings, thoughts of others or by what has happened to us in the past. It would be so wise to take this as a way of living, but not as an excuse to do things that are not uplifting to another, hurtful or harmful: I have done the best I can with what I had to work with.

This statement means that the understanding that you had at the time supported the actions you made. Please never take this to mean that you can hurt another, speak evil of another simply because your understanding was less than. Seek always to improve yourself.

The safety belt is this: If you seek to truly know God, Our Father, you will be guarded, guided and protected if you listen to the words that come from your heart. God can never give you more than you understand. Understanding comes through growth and growth comes through being open and receptive to Truth.

There are some big "ifs" here and this is where many of us falter, stumble or trip up. The thing is we really don't know anything. When we think we are wise, we are really foolish. When we think we are foolish, we are really wise. The key is to learn to listen before we speak and then ask if what we want to say, act or do is pleasing to Our Father, then we will have power beyond our understanding.

What is the reason for all this praying? Prayer is the connecting string or link to Our Father. The prayer you make is placed in the heart as the Bible says it, in the subconscious as New Thought teaches it and it is the heart that Our Father reads. Behind all your actions is what we call "motive" and that is entangled in what you do, what you say and how you live.

Jesus teaches us to love Our Father God. To love Our Father is to please Our Father.   It is wise to let nothing disturb us, for Our Father only knows pleasure and to Him when you allow anything to disturb you, Our Father thinks that you are happy. There is much .....behind our thoughts of disturbance, therefore we give it a stronger hold on or in our life. Whatever disturbs is planted with deep feeling.

This is why the Disciples James and John were called together. Wisdom is used to keep your actions or thoughts from being cold and the love to keep everything filled with sweetness. Let nothing stop you from being poised in sweetness. This pleased Our Father.

Sing Joyfully a New Song

Years ago, as a young lad growing up in a rural area, I recall how exciting the month of June was with school being out, chasing beautiful butterflies, watching them going from one lovely flower to the next.  

During the same moments of watching the beauty around me, I was trying to catch some of the exquisite birds that appeared to be everywhere I looked.  

Many of the birds were singing beautiful songs, perhaps songs of gratitude for the tangible evidence of June bursting out all over in the full beauty of blooming flowers and splendid foliage in every direction.  

A few days ago, I was reminded of those wonderful exciting times when I opened our door and there were three beautiful birds singing new sounds I had never heard before. As I stood there, they continued singing unafraid and gently flew away. I thanked them as they took flight.

Can singing and music, even from the throat of a bird, add a higher dimension to our daily living, giving more life to our years and more years to our life?   I personally believe so.  

Is music therapy truly beneficial to spiritual, mental, emotional and physical health? I personally believe so. Can singing help to make us happy, well-adjusted people?  

There are scientists, metaphysicians, musicians and religious leaders who concur with me and answer a resounding yes to the preceding questions.

We are told modern scientists who have done significant research into the nature of the universe believe that there is an omnipresent harmony throughout all of God's Creation with the principles of music as the common denominator.  

Since the universe is God's symphony and in our inner self we have the spirit of harmony, how can we use this truth to remove the fear and discord that vex us so and result in poor health that we often experience? How can we gain new vim, vigor and verve and thus enjoy a longer, happier, more productive life? I believe there are numerous factors that can guide us toward the goals we seek, but I suggest we focus our attention on the ways that can be summarized by a few powerful words from Psalms 98:1,4: Sing to the Lord a new song...break forth into joyous song and sing praises!

      Today we can find that music can bring forth our own release

from self-made prisons of limitations such as fear, prejudice or closed minds.

        I believe all of us are singing our song of life everyday and the nature of the song is determined by the spirit of the singing. When we keep our thoughts, words, feelings and actions as nearly Godlike as we can, we breathe the breath or inspiration of Divine Intelligence and both mind and body are nourished and renewed. I believe the supreme Maestro composer and conductor of the music of the universe wants us (everyone of us) to learn the notes and lyrics of life's universal song. I invite you, let us join in singing to the Lord a new song, so that we become God's melody of life and let God sing His song through us.

Give Your Burdens to the One Who Knows How to Carry Them

Since our move, my husband rides the train two to three mornings a week and I take him to the station. It is only six minutes away. While waiting for the train, I look at the people and see so many things.

There was a well known Health Master that would come to Founders Church and he would sit on the first row to the right of the podium about the sixth seat from the center isle. There was a young lady that would sometimes sit next to him. She was about 103 or 104. I can't remember if she made the 105 mark. When she would stand she was bent way over and you could see the feelings on the Health Master's face wanting to have her stand up straight. He knew that a lot of it had to do with her thinking, what she ate and her beliefs.

The things I notice at the Train Station is that so many people lean forward when they reach a certain age as if they have one foot in the Earth and barely handing on with the other. Even some children do not walk or stand up straight. Could it be to the burdens they carry are so heavy?

There are those who you can tell that there has been anguish before leaving home and I think, "Oh, that I had wings of a dove to fly upon the shoulders of those who carry heavy burdens to whisper in their ears, 'Our Father loves you and will take that burden away if you will just let Him.'"

Nothing in this world is worth worrying about. Worry never solved a problem and worry never will.

There are some who believe that when Jesus was praying in the Garden of Gethsemane that he looked to be in such anguish. Know now with assurance that it was not of or for himself or that he was in any physical pain. It all was for us.

He knew that his teachings had not met and melted in the hearts of many. He knew that even his Disciples did not truly understand who he was and what he was here for. He knew all these things, yet he knew that if he did not leave, the Disciples would never have the courage to depend upon Our Father God or to truly know Him. He knew they had a different ulterior motive.

You may need healing or you may feel there is a greater need for money, but know this: Our Father is not about money, He is money, but you will never really experience it safely, honestly and totally until you truly give yourself to Him, purely and pleasantly.

It is pertinent that it is understood that a greedy mind or a "needy" mind does not know Our Father. The need for money does not lie in the circumstance of getting it. In essence, to be relieved of the burden of wanting more money or relieved of any burden means that happiness is found and understood.

When that happens, everything else falls in place, for Our Father is living an active life in the one who knows Him and joy fills that heart.

When joy is strong, everything that is needed comes into view, for Our Father God knows the one who knows Him.

Bullying Is a Life Stopper

Do you like to bully? Do you find this satisfying? A bully has a poor self image and poor self esteem. If you feel this in any form check out your thoughts on how you feel about yourself. Who are you and who do you think you are?
