The Way We Misunderstand - Maybe It Is Best to Honor Mother

It may never have occurred to you that when something new comes along and you may accept part of it, that the old beliefs are still influencing you causing a block to consciousness. This is why it is so very important to be open in mind, heart and spirit.
If you continue to socialize with the ones that want to control you, then you have a second block. You are not free to think your own thoughts and to investigate your old thinking, for the old friends are afraid of losing you to something they are not yet ready to accept.
Block three comes in the form of mixed emotions: Shall I stay with my old friends who guide me to stay with my old thinking because this is a mistake or shall I go with this new thinking that neither hurts nor harms anyone or myself and that I have prayed for and it is now here?
The Disciples were faced with these same problems even though they were taught by one who mastered the consciousness of Goodness. The influence from their previous Jewish beliefs and the Priests who were their leaders slowed some of them from grasping fully with great understanding the spiritual teachings and it caused them to have to return to the ones who understood, those who had raised their consciousness and were unafraid to get the answers they needed. This caused many problems until they realized that the teachings of their new leader were true, honest and in integrity.
We today, when something new is received, we often times go to our peers that we trusted in the past, but have these peers grown beyond your understanding of the new thinking or are they nestled warmly still in the old thoughts? That is the question we must ask ourselves and understand growth comes from newness of Spirit, heart and mind. It is never stagnant and never hurts or harms anyone or anything.
Until this is learned and the awareness is keen in mind, we will have misunderstandings when we want to grow spiritually.
This is what our mothers try to teach us when she sees us socializing with those who have not raised their consciousness to that of true Goodness and is not interested yet in spiritual growth.
Some call these "low lives," but that is not true. No one can be a "low life." It is simply that they enjoy the lower levels of thinking, the place where it does not take effort to lift. All are children of God and God never created anything that is a "low life."
However, He did give us intelligence and until we are receptive of knowledge and lift that knowledge to understanding, wisdom will never be our companion.

 Something to Think About, God Lives in the Universe
Never let anyone put you in a box. Some years ago, lessons in Metaphysics about the realization of God and our connection to Him was done. One point with great understanding was missed and that was about expanding the consciousness.
Someone made a comment, "You are never satisfied." Pondering this, the realization came that if we ever expand the consciousness toward God, we must improve our living space; we must become more in mind and allow for growth (expansion) in all areas because embracing less would be stagnation.
Just recently a question was asked, "Why such a big house, it is just you two?" Well, guess what, evidently God likes a big house. Take a look at where He lives-in the Universe!" No one can say how big the Universe is except that in 1929 Edwin Hubble made a remarkable discovery that the Universe was expanding.
Can you imagine that a Universe where God lives is getting bigger and bigger? Now think-there are those who want to put some in little boxes when the Universe is expanding! Does that make sense? Our Universe is expanding, so who is to experience the expansion? That is the question! Well, Shakespeare said, "To be or not to be, that is the question."
If each individual is created in the image and after the likeness of Our Father God, then the expansion is not in the size of the body, but in consciousness. Therefore, it is an individual "thing" that each person has the opportunity to experience and no one should ever try to stop another from experiencing expansion in mind or in living quarters.
Some say that the developers have a great need to develop, but others say they have taken the road that leads to materialism instead of the road that leads to truly knowing their Creator-developing their own consciousness of Truth. Then, perhaps, it is the mind that needs developing and not our land with more and more noise machines and little boxes to live in.
Personal Note:
When we first moved to the High Desert in Palmdale, California you could hear the Earth sing. It was a beautiful high pitched indescribable sound or hum that penetrated your soul with such a soothing sound that you just wanted to cry with tears of joy, peace and tranquility. We enjoyed that sound and looking at the Milky Way each night for about 10 years and then we were told by the Representatives of LA County that there would be no more country living even though we opposed the idea, but guess what-the developers came.
Our priorities are very badly misplaced and need to be re-directed before we cause Mother Earth to speak back saying NO with her loud voice-giving sounds of earth-shattering rumblings, wind catastrophes and water devastation to cleanse the earth once more.
Will we listen? Which will win-God or Greed? Something to think about.

The Law of Mind in Action

You may not believe this, but we are still arguing the age old question: Who can be saved? Or a greater question: Is there such a thing as being saved in New Thought? Let us look at some Scriptural Laws and see how this pans out.
The Law of Moses says that in order to be saved you must obey the Law. The Law of Moses says that everyone who is among them must be circumcised. So, if we put the two ideas together, it will read: To be saved is to obey the Law of Moses which says every male must be circumcised.
If God created both male and female is this Law saying that the female does not matter? Is this Law saying that God only takes care of the male? Something is amiss here.
Jesus said, "I come not to destroy the Law, but to fulfill it." Now we are getting someplace! However, the Law is still there bold and blaring as ever. Therefore, there are some words that need clarifying. Let us take the first word "circumcision" and see what the inner meaning, the metaphysical meaning tells us.
Ernest Holmes does not speak of circumcising the men. In fact, Science of Mind has to do totally with the control of our own mind and setting the Law in action. Thanks to Charles Fillmore and The Revealing Word he address circumcision as symbolically the cutting off of mortal tendencies; indicative of purification and cleanliness under divine law. In Romans 2:29, "Circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit not in the letter."
This gives us a clearer understanding that as every "person", male or female purifies and cleanses the mind, each has been circumcised.
We feel, if the Bible is a guide for our livingness, we need to understand it and never exclude it. This may be the reason that Dr. Holmes wrote the book, The Hidden Power of the Bible. Besides, there are so many interpretations of scriptures in the back of his textbook that we must know, he, too, realized this.
Let us continue to read and meditate to understand the inner meaning of the scriptures that we may grow spiritually in all areas of life.

Is God Really Working in Your Life?
 Part 1

There may be times when you may wonder what is really going on in your life. In order for God to really work with you, you must be spiritually balanced, which includes your being financially healthy.
The question is: Are you Spiritually healthy and financially unhealthy or are you financially healthy and Spiritually unhealthy? If there is an imbalance in your spiritual life, but you are financially wealthy, something is out of balance.
So many are very much out of accord with church, God, Jesus the Christ and the Holy Spirit that living harmoniously and in unity with the Self is impossible. This makes one unhealthy in Spirit. Anything unlike realizing Our Father must be denied, annihilated, dissolved and sent back to the nothingness from whence it has come.
Our Father is for total expansion and full expression. Anything in the past that has been experienced and is unlike Our Father must go. It is as simple as that. Troward believed in seeking God, which is our Good and anything unlike that Good must be dissolved, no matter what has gone before it.

The Scriptures give us a wonderful example of following this idea of saving through the Biblical character Joseph, the eleventh son of Jacob, who was sold to the Egyptian Potiphar as a slave. He later became Governor of Egypt. Joseph listened to God and saved 7 years of grain during the years of plenty as preparation for the 7 years of famine. What would happen if we truly listened to God, Our Father?
I can only tell you as a witness that this method of handling money works!
