Personal Message

As long as we stand behing a certain teacher or excuses, our wisdom will be delayed. It is wise to trust Our Father-Mother God and know that there is only One Power in the Universe and that Power is always for us. It is Omniscient, knows all things, Omnipresent, is everywhere present and Omnipotent, all powerful. Let us begin to take this Power as our Partner in Life.

Will the Honest Servant of God Please Stand Up? By Rev. Pat Ogletree
I suppose that I am the most naïve individual in the United States. I truly believe that God's Servants are honest, love Our Father and will do His will no matter what. Things have proved that this is not so and it may be due to The Cosmic Laws of the Universe. I know that so many think that The Law of Attraction is the one Law that causes so many problems, but it is The Law of Karma, the one that we know as The Law of Cause and Effect. Through the Law of Action we set ideas, thoughts and whatever we think into motion. This action becomes our cause, which is within. These Laws are connected and are like an ecosystem in our thinking processes. We have little clues as to the importance of this Law and the one fact is that absolutely no one can escape its effects. We set ideas, thoughts, and causes in motion and The Law of Action, The Law of Circulation, The Law of Vibration and The Law of Incarnation begin to move into action as if they are one Law. We could say that they attract each other. We are told that we must be responsible for every word, thought and idea that we think and speak, but do we really believe this? Perhaps we think that we can escape some of the thoughts since they may be mild and appear not to hurt, but whatever we do that may hurt someone else, returns to us and begin to play out in our own life because we are the thinker. In the Bible there are those who are called as Servants of The Father. Some are chosen, but it is said the chosen are few in number. These leaders of the Churches, Temples, or Fellowships are the Servants of The Father. They are not the servants of the people or congregants. This may be hard to swallow, because the congregants are the ones who are in need of knowledge, understanding and wisdom and desire service. Everyone passes through this level at some time. This in no way belittles the congregant or any person, but it causes the leader to hold each in Light and in a very spiritual place. The Honest Servant of the Father is uplifted and the congregant or people in general who hear them or think of them are illumined. When the leaders forget who they are, they may find themselves trying to serve the world rather than The Father and place themselves in the land of trouble, for it is difficult to please the world and all the people in the world. Always remember that the world is material. The Honest and True Servant listens to The Father and does the Will of The Father, that which is for the highest good of all concerned. These actions will never hurt or harm one of God's Children. However, we do not always like the answers that follow or the directions, or whatever God has given to His Honest Servant to say to His Children. Strangely enough, whatever the answers are, they always pan out as the right thing to do. When the Servant of The Father does not obey The Father's Will, trouble generally lands in the servant's lap and it is usually harder on The Servant of God than it is on the Children of God, though none escape The Cosmic Laws of the Universe. Is it difficult to be honest? Yes. Is it difficult to be dishonest? No, because it takes no effort. If the servant keeps his or her eye on Truth and Honesty, then he or she will find his or her life prosperous. Watch for September's article on: What is True Prosperity?

Five Laws That Govern Our Life
The Law of Circulation The Law of Cause and Effect The Law of Karma (which us The Law of Cause and Effect) The Law of Action and Reaction The Law of Incarnation These 5 Laws (along with many others) are the reasons why our life is what it is today. We must clear the causes we have set in motion. There is no way to get around it. Therefore, the constant prayer must be "Cleanse thou me from hidden faults." (Psalm 19:12) In our own eyes, we see what we do as right, but who knows our hidden faults? Faults that have lived in our subjective mind lived in our heart as the Scriptures state it for many incarnations. Who knows these hidden faults? We have looked at money or rather made money "a god" and each day we build on that idea that money can solve our problems, but that is not so. We must come to see that money is the problem, yet it is a necessary commodity in order to live. It is when we replace money to make it The Living God, Our Father that it becomes a problem. How do we put it in its proper prospective when we need money to have a place to stay? How do we put it in its proper prospective when we need money to nourish our body, to clothe ourselves, to stay healthy, to educate ourselves or to even return to Our Father the tenth, the first fruits of our labor that whichh we know belongs to Our father? How do we do it and make these five Laws work for us and not against us? We have found that the best way is to be very careful what we set in motion. It is salutary to understand that we are responsible for every thought, every word and every idea that we bring to our mind, for it will lay down a pattern for our subconscious to set in motion. It will affect the body, the mind and the very spirit in which we do things. It reflects what we want to experience. We have gone along with things haphazardly looking at what lies on the outside of us and believing that this is what affects our life. It is now time to gain the knowledge, get the understanding and realize it is wise to look at what we are saying to ourselves because our word is law. It is a lamp unto our feet, which is light to our understanding. When we were in the Scinence of Mind Classes we gained much knowledge. We wondered why we gained so much knowledge that led to understanding who we are. We found that we were open to the teaching. If you will recall when the Disciples were with Jesus, he constantly reminded them of the teaching, but their thoughts were on the "teacher" and what he would do for them and with them. They were interested in what was going to happen to them as a result of being with Jesus. Therefore, they missed the "teaching." It was very hard for Peter when the Lord was crucified. He said he never knew Jeses and the other disciples fled the scene and hid as well. If they had only listened to the teaching, they would have heard and understood that it was The Father that they were to look upon and not Jesus.
Jesus was the Teacher, the Messenger. He was the one to bring wisdom and Understanding to them, to set their feet upon the knowledge of Truth and established what they were to do. He encouraged them to give God recognition, to honor and exalt the Divine Presence above everything, but their focus was on what they could gain for their own aggrandizement. Their motives were out of sync, out of harmony or agreement with the teaching. Is this not where many of us reside today? The Laws, if we obey them, give us balance, keep us safe and keep us in harmony with the One Power of this Universe. The Law of Circulation, we can simply say, circulates things, moves things, mingles things, spreads things or distributes things. Can you see the circle in circulation? If not, read Emerson and his essay on Circles. The teaching is here all around us. If we talk about others, it comes back to us. If we steal from others, something is stolen from us. If we lie about others, we can expect to be lied to. What goes around, comes around -The Law of Circulation and a Law I did not name -The Law of Vibration. In the Scriptures, it is "Do unto others what you would have others do unto you." [adapted] In other words, we cannot do ANYTHING without it happening to us. If we look at "who" gives Truth, we miss the "teaching." This does not mean that we listen or delve into the negative, but that we ask for guidance to where Truth is. It was only after Jesus left that the Disciples understood. This is the way it is with us. For example, we drink water everyday, but we tend to understand how important water is to the body when the well runs dry. Let us learn to listen to the "teaching" and not just to rely upon a certain "teacher" that our wisdom will grow and we become illumined.
May God Bless You This Day. Rev. Pat

Gathering of Minds
September 20, 2009 Can you live a life as defined as Joshua's?
His was one of courage, humility, prayer and worship.
He is a wonderful example and a great encouragement to us all.
We will bring this Biblical story home to you in American history as differnent landmarks to illiminate this wonderful story about Joshua. This will encourage you to be strong and courageous in times like these.
1st Week -- FIGHTING ON THEIR KNEES
Abraham Lincoln and Joshua found victory through prayer--victory on their knees seeking the counsel of God.
2nd Week -- HOLY GROUND
Do you realize that Arlington National Cemetery is considered as Holy ground? Remember it honors those who have sacrificed their lives. In the story of Joshua, he was instructed to remove his sandals before entering the Promised Land--Holy ground. The land on which we stand is also Holy.
3rd Week -- BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS
Perhaps you have practiced naivety, but we must understand that in one form or another there are others who seize authority and will try to destroy. Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Joshua responded with the voice of Truth. Can we not also learn to do this?
4th Week -- STONES OF REMEMBRANCE
Let us bear witness to the power of God as living monuments. The towering monument in Washington, D.C. honors the life of George Washinton and is one of encouragement that says we too can make a difference.
REMEMBER IT IS ABOUT THE "TEACHING" NOT THE TEACHER.
