Diaper Drive!
diaperAs part of an incentive program,  teen moms can earn diapers for attending our weekly meetings.  WIth the number of moms enrolled in our program growing quickly, we are in great need of unopened packages of diapers.  Sizes needed range from NB through 6.  Diapers may be dropped of at our ministry center located at 2621 34th St.  Please call Renee Morales (535-5486) to schedule a drop off time as office hours
vary.

Get Involved!
We need help in several ways:

Your Presence - If you are willing to be involved, we need mentor moms and dads, nursery helpers, cooks, drivers, etc.

Your Resources - If you have new or gently used baby clothes and items we will make sure they find a new home.

Your Finances - If you would like to help with the cost of running Teen Parents, we would appreciate it.

Please contact Renee Morales for more information.

Greetings!

Welcome to the first edition of our online newsletter, New Beginnings!  I hope you will enjoy hearing from us in this way.  I am so thankful for your role in our mentoring outreach to the young parents and their babies in our community.  Whether you faithfully volunteer your time, generously give of your resources, remember us in your prayers, or are one of our amazing community partners, Teen Parents of Lubbock is here today because of You!  Thank you for making it possible for these teens and their children to find New Beginnings!

What They're Saying...
teen mom & babyLast week I gave the girls a survey to evaluate what kind of impact we are having on them at our Teen Moms meetings.  Here are a few of the responses I got to the question, "How has coming to Teen Parents helped you in your life as a young mom?"

"Teen Parents gives me a break and gets me out of the house. I look forward to it every week!"

"Coming to Teen Parents helps me with information I might not have thought of or other ways to look at things."

"It has made me stronger to know that even though I push everyone out and away from my life i have people that are pushing back because they dont want to let me go."

"Ya'll taught me that I did the right thing by giving my baby life!"

"Teen Parents taught me that I can do whatever I put my mind and heart to and not to let anyone tell me I can't do something!"

"They keep me motivated to do what is best and not ever give up!"
