BenRiach Wins Distillery of the Year!
Icons of Whisky has awarded BenRiach the Distillery of the Year Award, the second of such an award for BenRiach Distillery.
THE BENRIACH Distillery Company beat off competition from around the world to win the coveted "Icons of Whisky" award in London. Organized by Whisky Magazine, "Icons of Whisky" seeks to find the best distiller of the year from distilleries in Scotland, Ireland, the USA, Japan and the Rest of the World. The "Icons", launched six years ago, are a highlight in the whisky calendar and are designed to celebrate the people and places behind the greatest whiskies in the world. BenRiach Managing Director Billy Walker said: "We are delighted to be recognized by such a prestigious whisky publication. The award reflects the incredibly hard work of our team and is the culmination of a fantastic five-year adventure."
The BenRiach distillery has been producing quality single malt Scotch whisky since 1898. Five years ago it was acquired by Billy Walker, Geoff Bell and Wayne Kieswetter. |
New Springbank Releases
We are delighted to announce new Springbank Releases arriving later this year. We will have a glorious 18 Year Old, an 11 Year old Madeira Finish, and three 12 year old Sherry Cask Finishes (Amontialdo, Fino, Cream Sherry).
The Madeira 11 will be the first to arrive this month, around the 20th. The 18 Year old will follow in May, and we are expecting the Sherry Finishes to be here in June (pending bottling).

SPOTLIGHT
Duncan Taylor Auld Blended 38 Year Old
If there is a blended whisky that deserves more attention, it would be this one. A marriage of the finest single malt scotch whiskies from Bunnahabhain, Highland Park, Glenburgie, Miltonduff, Glenlivet, and Springbank with an Invergordon Single Grain Whisky.
The whisky was married together for 1 year before bottling which is quite uncommon in blended whisky production. With it's unusually high malt content (70%) we believe the Auld Blended 38 Year Old to be the finest blended scotch whisky available today.
