"Hi, I am running for Ward One Councilor and I need your support and vote."
Greetings!

Like the pride in our neighborhoods, the spirit of Broad Meadows and the nostalgia for my alma mater is strong.  BMMS will host the Smegs Legs Road Race on Saturday in honor of alumi and US Navy LT JG Chris Smeglin, who was tragically killed in a bike accident last year.  I am honored to serve on the Chris Smeglin Memorial Fund Committee.  Proceeds from the event will benefit the Broad Meadows Athletic Programs, Houghs Neck Community Council Scholarship Fund & the Wounded Warriors Project. The run will enter Houghs Neck and pass the Boy Scout Troop 6 Bottle Drive.

Now that fall is here, the Fire Department celebrates Fire Safety Week and it's time to think about cleaning the yard and putting the boats away for the winter.  See below for some information on the Quincy Fire Department Open House, curbside yard waste pick up schedule and boat storage opportunities available from the Park Department.  Have a great weekend, Margaret
