  Turn to Rebuild Hope

More than 20 veterans and their families have requested financial assistance through Rebuild Hope during the first two weeks of March, the largest surge we have ever experienced. Why is this happening now? The weak US economy continues to hit disabled veterans and their spouses particularly hard, the Veterans Administration process for service-connected disability claims remains bogged down with delays of six months or more, and more government organizations and non-profits are now referring disabled veterans with financial problems to Rebuild Hope.

With your support Rebuild Hope aims to provide monthly grants, financial counseling and referral services to at least a hundred families in 2010.

Warmest regards,

Dana Hendrickson

A core belief of Rebuild Hope is that thousands of Americans would financially assist the families of current era disabled veterans if they only knew how much their support was needed AND they had an attractive way to help. Rebuild Hope makes it easy for Americans to have a huge impact but we ALWAYS need help spreading the word about our services.

Meet The Heath Family

Retired Army Specialist Cody Heath and his family joined Rebuild Hope this month. Cody suffers from life-altering injuries when his infantry platoon was subjected to multiple mortar attacks in Baghdad in 2007. Rebuild Hope donors are helping his family by funding basic living expenses while they wait for the Veterans Administration to start paying Cody the service-connected disability compensation he has earned.
