WICCA'S HEALTHY TEETH February is Pet Dental Health month. Meet Wicca from our Richmond Road / Sarcee (Glenbrook) location in Calgary and learn about why she has such great teeth! Wicca's we ekly dental regime includes chewing lamb neck bones, elk rib bones, elk neck bones, and elk tendons, and limiting the amount of kibble she consumes. Wicca has a lot of allergies, so she is limited to the types of bones she can chew, but all those elk and lamb bones are great for keeping teeth healthy.  Wicca eats a raw diet, as well as some NRG. A raw food diet is excellent for improving the health of teeth and gums! Wicca is has been requesting a little more variety lately and has been dabbling a bit with dry food. She will be starting Leba III as a plaque preventative. Leba III is all natural and easy to administer!
Wicca is nine years old, has never had any dental work done and her teeth look cleaner than when her pet guardians got her at 14 months! (The condition of her teeth at 14 months was because she was fed a poor quality kibble for the first year of her life).

WHY CATS AND DOGS NEED DENTAL CARE Recognizing the importance of our pet's dental health is extremely important considering that by the age of 2, about 80-90% of our pets will suffer from some varying degree of dental disease.
Dental disease can range from gingivitis (minor - severe gum irritation) to periodontal (the structures holding the teeth in place begin to break-down).
