Greetings!
Good morning! Tomorrow, July 10th is a special day - it is our Executive Director Kathryn Stephens' birthday. Kathryn (along with her husband Matt & their children) have volunteered an incredible amount of time and donated significant money helping make our collective vision and dream a reality.
Some of you are aware that Kathryn lost her father at an early age to heart disease. At that time, she promised herself that she would commit herself to improving the lives of others. As the Director of Walk with a Doc, she has fulfilled that commitment every single day. We are so fortunate to have her with us as we all improve together.
We told Kathryn to take Saturday off and she refused. She shared her one birthday wish was to be at the walk and have as many people as possible walk with her, exercise at another Walk with a Doc, or be motivated to go on their own. I then asked if she had taken too much cold medicine. Ironically, it turns out she had, but her one wish remained the same following day. In thinking back on all the amazing things Kathryn has done for us over the last year, one can get emotional. You know what? That's it! We are re-issuing the Kathryn Stephens Action Figure - the 1st Anniversary Edition. You can't find the Original - not even on eBay. The new version comes with earplugs to shut out all the manic banter around the office.

Walk with a Doc - Columbus
There will be five opportunities to join up with various doctors tomorrow. Franklin Park Conservatory, New Albany, Park of Roses, Westerville, and Highbanks. Please check our website ( www.walkwithadoc.org) for the exact locations and times. One of the locations, towards the latter half of that list may inadvertently receive a shipment of birthday treats on Saturday. Birthday goodies that would never be "advertised" in a reputable health care newsletter such as this.
