Greetings!
Good morning! We REALLY want you to appreciate how easy and fun exercise can be with us. Archie and Craig want the same thing. That is why they are joining us over the next couple days for walking, pictures, and autographs.
They are both local and national heroes for what they have done on the field and off. To say that we are humbled and honored would be an understatement. I know, I know, David quit the jabbering and give me the details.
Just remember, if you have any questions after reading this, call Kathryn at 614-357-3054.

Archie Griffin Tomorrow (Friday), 3:15 @ Fred Beekman Park! We
are honored to host Ohio State legend Archie Griffin tomorrow, Friday, April 16th, at Fred Beekman Park on Kenny & Lane. We will get started at
the pavilion immediately north of Mount Hall at 3:15 (Archie present until 4:45).
Mr. Griffin, the only man with 2 Heisman Trophies, currently holds
the prestigious position of President of OSU Alumni Association. It
would be our honor if you joined the OSU Alumni Association, Archie, Capital University Head Football Coach Bickel, and Walk with a Doc for what is sure to be a beautiful Friday
afternoon. Archie is one of those rare people that makes everyone
around him happy. Parking is easily available in the "A" and "B" lots. The
walk from the lot to the pavilion is a couple minutes, so we
recommend getting there a little ahead of time. Is there a better way
to start your exercise program? Don't think so. There are a million quotes about
Archie - my personal favorite is from Woody. "He is a better man than
he is a football player, and he is the best darn football player I've
ever seen."
How good a football player? Please indulge me for some quick math. There are 439 football teams with players eligible for the Heisman, without a doubt, the most coveted award in all of sport - college or professional. The average collegiate football roster has 125 players. The Heisman has been awarded 75 times.
439 teams X 125 players X 75 years = 4,115,625 player years. Over 4 million player years and only ONE (ONE!!) person has won the ultimate trophy twice. And guess what, you are going to walk with him tomorrow!
And remember, better man than football player.
Here is a great way to keep up with Archie on Facebook: www.facebook.com/ArchieGriffinFans

Saturday's MOFB Info
Please Bring 10 Non-Perishable Food Items Saturday, April 17th
to Help Feed Our Community
Walk with a Doc & Wellness Columbus teams with Mid-Ohio
Foodbank on April 17th to help raise six million meals in 2010. Thousands of people in central and eastern Ohio are facing
hunger. They are children, elderly people, and families. They are neighbors,
coworkers, and friends. They are the faces of hunger. And they live here. This
is our opportunity to help. Each year, Mid-Ohio Foodbank joins forces - with local
business, schools, civic groups, and individuals alike - to raise
critically needed donations for our community-wide food drive, Operation Feed. This
year, Operation Feed hopes to raise six million meals. Together, we can help
stock the shelves of hundreds of food pantries, soup kitchens, and emergency
shelters in central and eastern Ohio. Today, the need is greater than ever, and
Mid-Ohio Foodbank is asking us to join them. At Saturday's walk on April 17th, Walk with a
Doc & Wellness Columbus are asking you bring at least 10 or more of
the following most needed items to help feed our neighbors in need: · Pasta meals in a can · Canned fruit · Tuna · Canned vegetables · Canned meat · Soup · Peanut butter One pound of food equals one meal. And one dollar equals two
meals. One hundred percent of your donation to Operation Feed benefits people
in need. Every donation counts. When everyone does a little, Mid-Ohio Foodbank
can do a lot. For more information, or to donate to Operation Feed online,
visit http://www.midohiofoodbank.org/act/operation-feed.

Weather: Saturday looks clear, Friday slight chance of rain. If there is lightning or heavy rain we will cancel by 2:00 Friday.
We will announce by email, website (www.walkwithadoc.org), Facebook, and Twitter in that order. Whatever that means.
I think we are going to be fine. Have a fantastic couple of days and come join the legends!
See you Friday and Saturday!
