XM Radio - 160

We are thrilled to have our taped interview start airing this upcoming week (September 21-25).
Unfortunately, whenever I get really nervous, I start into an Elmer Fudd impression (which, in this case, was extremely inappropriate).

This Saturday!
This Saturday, September 19, 2009, history will be made. It is the first joining of the families.
"Lewis Center, meet Franklin Park; Franklin Park, meet Lewis Center."
"Nice to meet you, Franklin Park. You are even lovelier in person."
In honor of the celebration there will be a 387 foot Ferris wheel, fireworks, dancing elephants, blimps, clowns juggling clowns that are juggling machetes, doughnuts, and a very famous celebrity---okay, you got me---it's Cher!
All of that will not be happening, but we will be offering up a beautiful setting, healthy breakfast, coffee, new friends, waters, smiles, blood pressure checks, and more confidential, personal medical advice than you can shake a stick at.
"With all those juggling elephants, I bet they're charging me an arm and a leg!"
You, my friend, are mistaken---it's still free!
There will also be some group photos taken by our friends. Unfortunately, we are not allowed to give their business name. Suffice it to say, it is a large beverage company that offers many healthy products, and it rhymes with jet ski.
We know that not everyone has WWAD shirts (we are working to fix that), but we encourage you to wear 'em if you got 'em.
8:30, Franklin Park Conservatory, something East Broad. We'll meet at the pavilion immediately south of the parking lot.
*We're joining Nationwide Children's Hospital pediatrician Dr. Wendy Anderson-Willis. |

Oh dear...
This thing is starting to grow. Many fast-food companies have started in Columbus, so it seems fitting that a solution should come from the same place.
Here is the list of cities that now have a Walk with a Doc program that is either active or in the process of getting started.
We already talked about Central Ohio's six sites. In addition, we have strong leaders in:
Dayton
Solon
Willoughby Hills (Cleveland area)
And in these other cities:
Los Angeles, CA
Pomona, CA
San Francisco, CA
Tulare County, CA
Denver, CO (2)
Macon, GA
South Bend, IN
Baton Rouge, LA
Minneapolis, MN
Omaha, NE
Wilmington, NC Tulsa, OK
Pittsburgh, PA
Washington, PA
Houston, TX
Milwaukee, WI
If you want any contact information for these programs or you are interested in being a leader (guaranteed lifetime supply of yellow Starburst fruit chews), please contact us at contact@walkwithadoc.org. |

Angie's List - National Magazine
We got lucky with this one.
Thank you, Seleen Collins, for your copyediting. Carrot/wheat germ smoothie coming your way soon, I promise.
We are indeed excited to be associated with a great corporation like Angie's List. Here's the link if you are interested: http://tinyurl.com/anglst. (For whatever it's worth, I'm no longer in Delaware.)
Did anybody else ever catch the sitcom Angie? Bueller, Bueller...Handsome woman, but lipstick jungle up there.
Have a killer day!
See you Saturday,
David |
