Vacation!
Issue No. 34 August 2009
Greetings!

Good morning! Tomorrow morning's forecast in Columbus is sunny and 70 degrees with no chance of rain.  Wouldn't a walk at the park be a great way to start your weekend?  We would love to see you.  Any, and all, paces are encouraged.

Today's newsletter discusses tomorrow morning's agenda (and sponsor), an 'extra' walk for a great cause, our Intern of the Year, and a couple of new cities.

Run 4 the Health of It

This Labor Day (Sept. 7th) walk/run event is something that we hope you will join us for.  We will be doing a 4 mile walk at the beautiful Westerville Sports Complex. Registration is at www.copcf.com.  We are fortunate to be given a significant (read: ridiculously good) discount by the race director. If you could please call 273-8030 for the Promo Code (unable to distribute en masse).  We encourage you to wear your WWAD shirt if possible.
This is a great deal for a wonderful cause - please join our Walk with a Doc team.
Intern of the Year
 Jeff York
Walk with a Doc proudly announces Jeff York as Just Walk Intern of the Year!

Jeff is a bright young medical student from Dublin, Ohio.  He has led a walk, represented us at health fairs, developed Power Points, produced radio spots, organized presentations, and a lot more.

Thank you Jeff for all of your high quality work.  You have the stuff to make an outstanding physician.

We are growing.  There is a new Walk with a Doc in Stapleton/Denver led by the inspirational Dr. Annemarie Meeuwsen and the University of Colorado Family Practice Program.  Also some strong movement in Pittsburgh from another great organization - we will be able to announce shortly.  Thank you for your continued efforts.

See you Saturday,

David
