| Greetings!
You know us. We try not to ruffle any political feathers here at Just Walk. Peace, love, fitness, harmony....until this newsletter. As you read the first article below, please keep in mind our advisory board feels this will provide a long term benefit for the group.

| Partnership with Imcloned |
 I sat down with my two children last week. The conversation centered around which one of them wanted to help with Walk with a Doc -Columbus when I was no longer able.
My nine year old, "Daddy, I can't. I'm going to be a ballerina."
My seven year old, "Nope, I'll be playing football for the Buckeyes (for his entire life apparently)."
The dog ran away when I asked him.
With this information, our trusted advisory board looked into the possibility of cloning. On a whim, we placed a call last Thursday to Imcloned, a human cloning operation just north of the San Fernando Valley. After a mountain of paperwork, the quick blessing of the Obama administration, and some painful DNA extraction - I have been cloned. Lil' Davey is already growing in an agar plate on the West Coast.
We anticipate his arrival to Ohio in late fall/early winter 2009. Expect to see me carrying 'myself' around as early as 2010. We do not expect mini-me to actually present at a walk until the much further down the line.
We fully realize this will be unsettling to many of our participants, if not all of them. We just ask of your patience and understanding as we pursue this most unique opportunity.
If you happen to run into my wife, please do not bring this up. She states she can barely handle one of us, let alone two. |
| Just Walk - South Bend, IN |
 We are proud to announce that 4th year OSU Medical student, Rick Gardner, will be starting a Just Walk! program in South Bend when he begins his medical residency this July.
Rick has been very supportive of our Columbus program and we are excited to facilitate the success he will bring to our western neighbor. He is a great leader who will serve as a strong ambassador of Walk with a Doc.
In addition, Rick will be leading our Just Walk...with a Doc this Saturday at Polaris Fashion Place. The walk will be at 0830 and begin in the food court. If your attendance keeps growing at this pace, they may need to retile the mall's flooring. Great work!
We are being sponsored by the Vasist family this Saturday. Thank you Vasists and thank you again to the Kumars for their sponsorship last week. I have much to learn from hosting abilities. |

Walk with a Doc - Columbus is excited to announce a partnership with Fleet Feet Columbus. We will be releasing the details shortly, but before you go buy those new shoes or other walking/running supplies, make sure you check with us.

We had the privilege of meeting recently with a few of the great nurses that represent the 106 RNs taking care of our children's health concerns during the day.
They are strong role models to these most impressionable young minds. Please look for an upcoming walk as well as future collaboration between these amazing women (and probably a couple guys) and Just Walk....with a Doc.
