Greetings!
Doesn't it feel like this female doctor is looking at you? Judging you? She's not.
She's just a model.
A model wearing a stethoscope, saying:
"Good morning. You look great today. I hope you are enjoying the snow. Please read the Walk with a Doc newsletter." |

The weather prediction is excellent again for Saturday.
8:30 a.m. Polaris Mall (Food Court). We are proud to announce that as a group we likely accumulated close to 200 miles during last week's hour.
Those who attended on Saturday or happen to be in receipt of last week's newsletter are aware of the alligator wrestling that occurred, the unfortunate incident that followed, and the need for a rematch.
As fate would have it, beginning today, there is an amendment to Polaris Fashion Place bylaws prohibiting reptiles greater than 6 feet within the building.
This obviously means that the second bout with Mikey the Alligator will be in the parking lot.
I have spent a good portion of the week watching 'game film' from our match. I certainly expect a more even fight this Saturday.
A special thank you to all the well-wishers who called or sent cards - the swelling has gone down considerably.
Prior to the match, we will briefly discuss the findings released this week linking coffee and lowered dementia risk. We will also share the news regarding Bisphenol A.

| Australian Study Links Alcohol-Containing Mouthwash to Cancer |
During my daily reading of the Australian Dental Journal I came across this interesting study (http://tinyurl.com/d5y74q).
In summary, the researchers found that using mouthwash containing alcohol increased the risk of developing oral cancers by four to five times among people who didn't smoke or drink alcohol.
There are plenty of good mouthwashes without alcohol, if appropriate, I'd recommend switching to one of those.

| Walk with a Doc - OSU Medical School |
Twenty first-year medical students have organized an additional walk at Beekman Park (corner of Kenny & Lane). It will occur on Wednesday nights at 7:00. It starts April 1st and runs for 10 weeks. These young men and women will be gathering physician leaders to aid them. This is a natural addition to Walk with a Doc. Thank you to the leaders who are organizing it.
It is currently listed on our calendar ( www.walkwithadoc.org) and we will look forward to updating you as we get closer to the starting date. |
