| Greetings!
We are all proud of Dublin, Ohio for many reasons. Everybody knows the Memorial Tournament at Muirfield, the Columbus Zoo, birthplace of rock band U2, home of popular children's cereal Lucky Charms, and the famed Blarney Stone. What is new to Dublin,is the state-of-the-art Dublin Methodist Hospital. We are given a wonderful opportunity this week to tour this amazing facility. We are proud to have Epcon Communities and McConnell Health center sponsoring us this week.
Please click on the link below for the well detailed brochure.
In addition, around 10:00, I will lead a 15-20 minute discussion on what the literature says we can do to live a healthy life well into our 90's and beyond.
If there is a chance you will be able to make it Saturday, please RSVP to Bonnie Maki [bmaki@insight.rr.com]. We are doing this to help decide the # of shuttles.
Please read on and call us with any questions. |

Here is my humble attempt at minutes from the alpaca farm, Circle G Lazy K Ranch.
We were floored by how many came out to Alexandria - really amazed. We have received a lot of feedback and we are certainly glad you enjoyed it as much as we did.
Steve introduced everyone to the alpacas, goats, sheep, peacocks, cheetahs, rhinos, etc. before we headed down to the ravine. In the valley, there was a roaring fire, coffee, bananas, and other items with varying degrees of nutritional benefit.
We were happy to introduce Drs. Sommer, Berliner, Kunstmann, and one of our medical students, Ty, along with plenty of nurses.
Pretty much everyone then embarked on a 3.0 mile hike over alternative terrain included fjording a stream. It was somewhat humorous to watch my attorney wife sweat bullets as we escorted our troops across the rocks with the choppy white waters spitting below us. (I now realize that this is "Real funny" until I find my butt on the witness stand)
Other highlights included many amusing anecdotes from Steve discussing the history of the land, coyote (~1000 yards off), shooting range, edamame, Jeep off-roading, an oil well, and much, much more.
Steve then gave all the remaining children (story revolves around the coyote we saw) alpaca finger puppets. We met lots of new friends (both human and otherwise) and my son, Charlie got his first kiss (see above).
Steve would be happy for us to return anytime, and one follow up trip will definitely be in 2009 to pick black raspberries.
Steve and Maria - thank you for a great morning.

Vote early November 4th - Let's get physical instead
Just Walk has zero political affiliation, however, we do encourage everyone to vote early. Our time is precious, and next Tuesday holds the potential to be a significant time drain. You could achieve massive amount of exercise during that time in line. Unless of course you walk/jog in place (which could lead to your expulsion from the voting facility).
