It's Thursday, Let's Dance!
Mark your calendars and get out your dancing shoes! The only outdoor dance floor north of Chicago is opening up once again! It's Thursday, Let's Dance will be kicking off on Thursday, June 21 and taking place every Thursday for 6 weeks! Come listen to some great music and dance to hot swing, cool jazz, rhythmic reggae and more!
CTA Viaduct Installation
Starting this weekend, the Dempster and Grove Street viaducts will be replaced, with work beginning on Friday, June 22 and concluding on Monday, June 25. Starting at 8:30 p.m. on Friday, June 22, the CTA will shut down the trains running between the Howard and Davis L stops. CTA buses will service this area until the CTA Purple Line resumes service at 4:30 a.m. on Monday, June 25. Complete project details here.

Downtown Farmers Market - Every Saturday Through November Official hours of the Downtown Evanston Farmers Market are 7:30am to 1pm behind the Hilton Garden Inn. Evanston Mini Maker Faire: A Showcase for do-it-yourself technology of every shape and kind!
August 4-5, Evanston will host a Mini Maker Faire, a celebration of technology and the making of things. Members of the Evanston community are invited to exhibit their projects at the Faire, and see what everyone else has been making or come as an attendee! The Faire is NOT limited to technology projects; If you like to cook, use power tools, sew, program computers, use 3D printers and laser cutters, or just like to work with your hands, you are strongly encouraged to attend or exhibit.
