| It's Thursday Let's Dance! |  Now in its twelfth year in 2011, It's Thursday, Let's Dance! will be heating up downtown Evanston on six consecutive Thursday nights: July 14, July 21, July 28, August 4, August 11 & August 18. Each week, enjoy dancing to a live band and instruction with a professional dance teacher. Join us at the conveniently located 909 Davis St. Plaza, the intersection of Maple Avenue and Church Street, at the Davis St. Metra stop. Lakeshore Arts Festival

Since 1973, the City of Evanston has presented the annual Evanston Lakeshore Arts Festival. The festival takes place this weekend, August 6 & 7, 11:00 am - 6:00 pm on Evanston's stunning, historic lakefront at Dawes Park, Sheridan Road at Church St.
The festival showcases live jazz and classical music, a silent art auction, and the popular Children's Craft Tent. The festival hosts a dozen restaurateurs serving a variety of culinary delights.
This is a free event to attend and free parking is available at the Northwestern University parking lot, three blocks north of the festival site (look for the signs). A free shuttle bus runs non-stop between the parking lot and the festival site between 8:00 am and 7:00 pm. Dawes Park's official address is 1700 Sheridan Road, Evanston. The Evanston Lakeshore Arts Festival is presented by the City of Evanston's Cultural Arts Division. This program is partially supported by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council, a state agency.

| Evanston 150 Idea Deadline |
In a dramatic sprint to the finish line, Evanston150's idea count surged forward from 1,750 at Noon on Saturday to well over 2,103 by Midnight on Sunday, July 31st.
In addition, ideas postmarked by July 31 at midnight are still being collected from the U.S. mail.
Ideas are also being rounded up by Steering Committee members and volunteers who led a series of community brainstorm sessions last week. We hope to have these ideas processed by early in the week, and will share the final idea count as soon as possible!

You're invited to introduce your local product to the Whole Foods Market buyers. This open call applies to new vendors only, who are not currently selling products to Whole Foods Market.
They are currently sourcing product in the following categories: produce, floral, dry grocery, frozen grocery, dairy, specialty, artisan, body care, housewares, clothing. Products must be labeled and ready for sale.
