Yoga Summer Intensive at Grateful Yoga
|
Yoga is a great way to release the stress of the week, but the benefits increase exponentially if you can practice several times per week. | Evanston's Kick-Off to a Fun & Safe Summe, Saturday, June 11 |
As a follow up to the Summit, a coalition of community organizations and the City are working together on a Community Kick-Off to a Fun and Safe Summer. The Community Kick-Off will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on this Saturday, June 11th, at Robert Crown Park, and it will include a free picnic, recreational activities, opportunities for youth to enroll in summer programs, and opportunities for parents and community members to learn more and to sign up to be mentors and volunteers. Fleetwood-Jourdain Theatre Presents Five Guys Named Moe
| Five Guys Named Moe, June 11-26, 2011 at the Theatre at the Noyes Cultural Arts Center, 927 Noyes St. Evanston
His woman left him, he's broke, and it's almost five o'clock in the morin'. But don't be worryin' 'bout our hero, Nomax. Out of his '30s-style radio pop five guys named Moe who cajole, wheedle, comfort and jazz him with whimsical hit songs of Louis Jordan, one of the most beloved songwriting talents of the Twentieth Century. Performances will take place on Saturdays at 7pm and Sundays at 3pm. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased in advance or at the door.

Bike Pit Stop at Fountain Square for Bike to Work Week

In celebration of Chicagoland's Bike to Work Week, the Active Transportation Allaince at Turin Bicycle will be sponsoring a Bike Pit Stop at Fountain Square. Come pick up a goodie bag and get a quick bike tune up at a Bike Pit Stop during this Bike to Work Week Commuter Challenge. Read More>
The Pit Stop will be available to Evanston commuters on Friday, June 17 from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. at Fountain Square (Sherman Ave. at Davis St.).
