Gift cards may be purchased Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., at the Downtown Evanston office at 820 Davis St., suite 151; and Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m., and Saturday 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at First Bank and Trust at 820 Church St. The card is available in denominations from $5 to $500 and can be purchased with Visa, MasterCard and Discover.

Harlem GlobetrottersOn Friday, January 7 in 1927, the Harlem Globe Trotters played their first game in Hinckley, Illinois. On this night in 2011, WineStyles offers up a selection of wines from every corner of the globe so you can globe trot yourself, without ever leaving town. NOTE: They do not permit dribbling in their establishment - but, they do believe featured wines will be a slam-dunk!  This is a free event and wines will be open between 6 and 8pm.

The Evanston Symphony Orchestra celebrates the 150th birthday of Gustav Mahler with his nostalgically beautiful Fourth Symphony in the second concert in the ESO's 65th anniversary season. Michelle Areyzaga sings the soprano solo in its folksong finale depicting a child's view of heaven. Gwyneth Walker's song cycle, The Promised Land, which was composed for Ms. Areyzaga and the ESO, also concludes with a vision of heaven. The ESO is proud to present this exciting world premiere!
